Dr. Selwyn Vickers

Selwyn M. Vickers, MD, FACS, is the President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Vickers is an internationally recognized pancreatic cancer surgeon, pancreatic cancer researcher, and pioneer in health disparities research. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the immediate Past President of the American Surgical Association. Dr. Vickers joins us to share wisdom gained from building a successful career in academic medicine. He also discusses the imperative for academic medical centers to address the social factors that can adversely impact cancer care.
